A new townhome community in Madeira, Ohio. These 25 townhouses foster a charming and idylic sense of small-town community. Creating a sense of place, sustainable design, and aging in place were all driving factors in this design.
In traditional farmhouse style, unique and flowing spaces engage active family spaces.
Kitchen, sunroom, and bedroom renovations for a historic and award-winning house in Hyde Park. This home had minimal updates since being House Beautiful 's Pace Setter house in 1960. New, more energy efficient custom windows and a geothermal heating system were included to bring the house's systems up to date and lower the home's energy consumption. The renovations for this home were designed with sensitivity to the original sprawling, horizontal design and views of the Ohio River and the surrounding wooded site.
A new single family home in Sycamore Township. This residence was designed with a "Bucks County" feel, and radiates an earthy feel with wood and stone used throughout the house.

Master suite addition to a Tudor style home in Mt. Lookout. The addition provided a larger master bedroom, new master bathroom, and a private sundeck.
This new poolhouse was designed with a rustic, natural feel to create a cozy poolside retreat. Two large doors slide open to face the pool, seamlessly blending indoors and out.
A 1,200 square foot addition to an existing home in Mariemont. The addition included a complete kitchen renovation, which provided a bright casual, and functional place for the family to gather.

This addition transformed a cold and underused sunroom into a cozy study, while also providing the family with an updated media room and expanded master suite. The exterior of the home was also updated to create one cohesive architectural style.

A favorite feature of the house, the studio is accessed by a cheerful red spiral stair and features panoramic wooded views, a private balcony, and an 8' diameter fan. The finished house marries clean modern sophistication with whimsical charm for a unique and personal home.

A complete renovation of an industrial shop in Old Montgomery in to an interactive venue. The old building was gutted, and the new design brings in clean lines, light, and an abundance of colors and textures. The new space, Stir, is now used as an entertaining venue that includes a state-of-the-art kitchen and bar, lounge area, and gated outdoor patio. Along with Stir, this building also houses an interior design office and WentzDesign's office.

Conceptual design of region's first winter club, influenced by the traditional skating clubs in New England. The club provides a space for a multiple family experience surrounding winter activities with a central grand hearth room.
A LEED Certified new shelter for the Delta Tau Delta fraternity at the University of Cincinnati designed in classic collegiate stye.
Located just off Galbraith Road, in the northern Cincinnati neighborhood of Arlington Heights, Galbraith Business Center offers excellent access to I-75 and Ronald Reagan Highway. Features of this 52,000 square foot concrete tilt-up office warehouse building include I-75 and Galbraith Road visibility, and strong demographics, with over 10,000 businesses and 120,000 employees located within a five-mile radius.
Average daily traffic counts at this location are 150,000 on I-75 and over 45,000 on Ronald Reagan Highway.
Corbly Station, an upscale 10,000 square foot neighborhood multi-tenant retail strip center, is located in the eastern Cincinnati neighborhood of Mt. Washington. The property is situated on the going-to-work side of Beechmont Avenue, two blocks north of Corbly Street. Daily traffic counts at Corbly Station are high, averaging 25,938. This attractive masonry building has over 200 feet of frontage on Beechmont Avenue, with bay depths of 72 feet. On-site parking accommodates 52 cars.
First in the region to provide a complete kid's only sport center. Working with a tight budget, this center was designed to create fun, activity driven spaces that accommodate hundreds of users at one time.
The Firehouse Grill is designed to be a destination restaurant for Blue Ash and the surrounding communities. A family-friendly environment will attract local residents, while the casual atmosphere will appeal to the large business lunch crowd. Playing off the neigboring firehouse, the themed restaurant's atmosphere will reflect its local, casual focus and will be able to handle small gatherings, neighborhood parties, and corporate events. Unique attributes will include an outdoor fire pit, Tiki Bar, and entertainment area that will host outdoor concerts and events.

Armed with over 20 years of residential and commercial architectural design experience in Cincinnati, Mike formed wentzdesign in 2004. When not being "the boss," Mike spends his time practicing death-defying snow and water sports, and coaching too many Indian Hill youth sports teams. He and his wife Jerri live in Indian Hill with their two daughters, son, and two high-energy chocolate labs.

Francesca joined wentzdesign in 2010, and brought with her over ten years of experience in award-winning custom residential remodels, addditions, and new homes. When not working as a residential rockstar, Francesca and her husband live in Terrace Park with their sassy two-year-old daughter, newborn son, and a dog named Andy.

Erin joined wentzdesign in 2009 while working on her master's degree at UC and came on full-time after graduating in 2010. She brings experience from working at a large corporate firm in Washington, DC and a high-end residential firm in Cincinnati. A rare expert in both home design and pop culture, Erin spends her free time fixing up her 100-year-old house in Oakley with her husband and dominating at bar trivia.
